Well that title is misleading ^^ The guy just assumes sys reqs are referring to 360 accessories. While obviously the 360 requirements are listed on that site, right above "System requirements forthcoming" text.
Personally I wouldn't be surprised it came to PC.
First of, MS wants to push Windows 8.
Second, more and more developers are getting ready for next-gen titles and are developing for PC to catch up on technology that will be available to them in the near future.
Anyways, I never understood the hype behind Halo games. Sadly I can say I also finished all of them.

Didn't they do the same shit to promote Win Vista with a Vista-only (messy) port of Halo 2? I don't discard the chance of it happening, but:
a) i pretty much think halo just plain suck;
b) it's like fable all over again, launching 4 without 3 and spin-offs is just retarded;
c) high chances of a shitty port;
d) see "a".

@outtanames Nope,Halo is not a xbox exc. serie.Halo 1 and 2 were also on PC as i remember.
Anyways,one of the crapiest game ever.The story telling is quite good,though.But i've never understand why the gaming magazines are so into this game...

on pc it's nothing special (crappiest game ever is a bit exaggerated lol).. but on consoles it revolutionized shooters.
halo is responsible for recharging health and 2 weapon carrying limit.
also I immensely enjoyed playing all halo games in split screen coop on my xbox/360

2 weapon limit, never seen that... in like... counterstrike. Also pretty sure halo wasnt the first and not to mention it was the shields not the health.

Halo 1 and 2 were good shooters for a playthrough and good ports, except for the fov. But I fixed Halo 2 fov by hexediting the maps, so it was great !

I didn't say that halo did it first, but halo defined console shooters for it's generation and today is still being copied in many regards.
and who cares if it was shields not health? that's nitpicking, it's essentially the same thing..

exactly. halo imo was one of the first shooters that went aggressively towards accessibility (obviously because it was developed for consoles) and showed publishers that consoles are a desirable platform for FPS games.
there were a few that came before it like goldeneye but it was so rare (no pun intended)...
now look at the amount of shooters we have on consoles...and more importantly, shooters designed for consoles and then ported over for us :-(

oh you... halo 4 like BattleField 3 will have a optional hd bigger textures installation ... thats all
those system requirements are for those xboxes that doesn't have a hdd or are those that have the 4gig flash MU ... those xboxes can't install those textures and are forced to play with low resolution textures and will have Xbox Live Online disabled since it requires an additional 3 installations [Game must be installed to HDD , Online component has to be installed and also those HD textures] ... as of now we know the Online component is 8gigs , but we don't know how big will be those HD textures and Campaign Maps... some think the whole game will need 10 gigs... and since this game will be on two dvds it we can speculate

so to summarize you need to install 2 dvd9's to your xbox hdd , install HD texures and 8gig online component ... 8gigs[disc one installed]+ 8 gigs[disc two online component] + 1 gig [textures] = more or less 17gigs
