I just decided to reinstall this game and give it a go... game installed fine, and when I tried to install the update it said unable to find the game, So I decided to go thru the registry and this is all I found

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Atari]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Atari\DRIV3R]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Atari\DRIV3R\1.00.000]

all of the were empty...
I tried re-installing the game again and it didnt work...
If anyone still has this game, could you check and let me know what else has to be in the registry..thanks

you are using the wrong update file.

there is EURO and US patch , make sure you install the right one for your installed version.

If at first you don't succeed,

tried both... didn't work!
lol, i gave up trying to play it on the pc.. and got it on the ps2 instead...
