I am thinking of getting the
PMP-120
Iriver HDD player (the h300 series) or the New Zen HDD player with 20 hours or so battery life. Any other good

So which one should I go for?

http://www.iriver.us/downloads/compare.wmv shows the size of the h300 iriver, not as big as I thought, you get a battery attachement as well which gives the player a battery life of 50 hours

Hmm I don't like the looks of the h300. Zen's are pretty nice as I've tried them myself but they only support .wav, .mp3 and .wma. The superiour ogg format still doesn't work. Have you checked the creative HDD video player (portable media center)? I would get a pocketpc instead. I know it doesn't have all that space and battery life but it does a lot more. But I think it's a choice of taste.

Here's a very nice newly released ppc by Fujitsu Siemens - Pocket loox 720 bt+wlan.

Do you know of any shops in Canada/US that carries that PPC? I am not interested in OGG as releases are not in OGG - but it seems as the h300 series support the ogg format
Quote:
Supports MP3, WMA, ASF & Ogg Vorbis
With Multi-Codec playback the player not only supports MP3 files but also WMA, Windows Media Audio, ASF, Ogg Vorbis and 11/22/44KHz, 16bit.

Hmm don't know about Canada. Tried Amazon? The loox 720 is not available in Your country right now only Germany/Austria. Dell are also putting up new VGA models together with HP, Toshiba and Asus. I would some more time for the Dell VGA, Toshiba 830 or the Fujitsu loox 720. The Dell X30 that is available now is pretty nice too.

I dont like the PPC as a portable mp3 player replacement as its a very bad one for that task as they are big and have a limited space.
