FIFA 07

FIFA kicks off the 2007 season.
By: EA Sports
Genre: Soccer Sim
Release Date: 29 September, 2006

This year's World Cup helped Electronic Arts move tons of units of both FIFA Soccer 06 and 2006 FIFA World Cup, but the world's biggest sporting event and its millions of fans must move on. EA is moving on too, as it has officially announced FIFA Soccer 07.

The latest game of footie is headed to the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PSP, DS, PC, and the Game Boy Advance on September 29 in the UK. EA has not yet announced a release date for the US. Though a recent statement from EA does not mention any next-gen versions of the game, the game's official Web site bears an Xbox 360 logo, meaning that a version for Microsoft's next-gen console is likely coming later.

Now that international pride has been settled for the next four years, FIFA 07 is concentrating once again on the club circuit. The game will feature the licenses of dozens of leagues, and will introduce the new EA Sports Interactive Leagues, which allow fans to square off in online leagues based on real-world schedules.

I haven't played any fifa-games since 2001.. Im a PES-fan instead, and I doubt this will be anything different from the 06 version. We "Current-gen" people have to w8 until next year for changes Im afraid.

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

I don't think anyone was talking about you. Most poeple want realism, not sure why anyone would want a realistic soccer game though.

Not really, Ive seen games on TV, I definatly dont want to play somthing like that in a game, pass the ball with little action for 90 minutes, with players dropping to the pitch left and right without even being touched. Kinda hard to respect it with all of that going on.

Playing FIFA 06 the whole year made me a master at it. Hope 07 won't be too diferrent so I won't need to learn from the begining.

Its not the slow pace of the game that turns most canadians and americans away, I still watch a lot and know a lot about the sport because Im a big jock, love all sports regardless of where thier played, about 80% of our beef with the sport is the diving and cheating. In big matches some of the shit you see is horrible. I still don't know why they don't have video replays, its crutail when somone dives ecspecialy in the box during a big game. I have no problem and like the concept of the actual sport.

Snoepgun, I shouold think graphics etc will be updated in the final game. Although the demo was quite large, EA probably included only the most basic features. The demo showed lots of promise though, gameplay is much improved. sYn, my apologies for contributing to the closure of the previous Fifa 07 thread. I'll make sure to read the forum rules in future! Smile

Just to note, its not a "rule" but when I get lots of PM's from people complaining I have to act. However 90% of the previous thread was spam, its useless, unhelpful rubish.. stick to talk about the game itself and all will be fine.

EA did release an updated demo recently; it's larger than the first, but to be honest it's basically the same. I think the main difference is that it addressed some bugs from the first release, to do with certain graphical issues with some cards. If you have the original demo and it's working, I'd stick with that until the full game arrives! Smile

As a pes adept, I must admit that Fifa 07 is really enjoyable ! I truly disliked the demo of Fifa 06 but this one is pleasant.

Yet, I hope that EA will fix different glitches in the final version. For example, the ref isn't realistic at all ! He keeps hunching his back all match long and runs in a totally inapropriate way (whereas players do it ok). Second, scripting is not that good : I mean very often, when a player scores, he just stands straight for a sec doing nothing before celebrating his goal.

I know that these are details but it means quite a lot to me because other aspects of the game are very insteresting, and these little pbs spoil the game.

What do you think ?
