Yeah, Caesar 3 was an awesome game. So was Zeus. There was also a game about Egypt, I think it was called Pharaoh or something like that. It was a good game as well.
This one looks good. I just hope the transformation from 2D to 3D won't ruin it.

Caesar was the Origanal Rome building game. The first caesar game was Dos based, so that gives you an idea on how old it was.
I love most the building series games, Caesar, Pharoh, Zeus and Children on the nile, althought CotN was my least faviourite.

I tried it but cant say I like it as much as I did Ceasar III, I am mainly strugling with the camera system, I wonder if they would have been better off if they just locked it into isometric view.
Also a tutorial would have been nice, you are thrown into the deep end and have to figure out what to build first, you cant drag patches of houses or gardens in like in CIII, the undo option doesnt undo the accidental deleted building.
Overall not impressed, shame, I really loved Ceasar III but this just doesnt seem to be up to par.

Those tutorial messages are annoying. The game is okay...leaves a lot to be desired.. maybe if firefly and sierra got together and worked on one game it would have turned out nice.
