I have two XP systems in my house sharing printers, but I have a Win2K system (custom unattended setup made with nLite) that refuses to connect to ANY network shares at all. I've tried just about everything except re-loading with a non-custom insallation.

I know I could use the port of Samba (with Cygwin) for Windows to possibly make this work. I'm just wondering if there's some service that is seriously needed on 2K that if it's not running or there, shares are completely disabled (as is now).

EDIT: Samba client for Win32 won't work with printers.

Workstation service is needed for sure. And possibly Netlogon.
