Nice game, like the oldskool feel of it. Kinda like paradox games. The combination of tactical battles and strategic thinking is fun. But is has a steep learnig curve and the interface isn't helping.

Yup, the interface is pretty horrid. There's a nice game underneath though.

Fuck yeah, this game rules. I'm just pissed at how everyone on this forum seems to be ignoring it. Probably because they're graphics whores. I tell you, nothing beats the feeling of having your own army of 250,000 men facing off against a much larger enemy army and winning, and slaughtering tens of thousands of them as they flee, like pathetic fools, gaining your tons of glory. And then the enemy surrenders and has to accept all kinds of extremly harsh conditions, like being forced to reduce their military readiness by 60% or paying tons of money in reparations, or ceding territory to you. Then after they've been forced to reduce their readiness, you can invade them again in their weakened state and grab even more of their territory. Fuck yeah.
Seriously, if you like EU 1 and EU 2 you need to get this game.

I saw Master and Commander....again and again , shouldn't have, now i am totally sucker head on Napoleonic War time stuff, and i mean hard core. Dled and saw all the episodes of Sharpe (Sean Bean) Got Waterloo the film from 1970 (great stuff) got all the audio books from Patrick O'Brien author of Master and Commander there is 20 or so Got the TV drama "Napoleon" from 2002 with Christian Clavier, brilliant! I remeberd having Imperial Glory somewhere up in the attic, so i installed it and started to...get disappointed. Not that bad but....well its just not that great, is it?
So I was reading the few comments here about COG and seems to be pretty extensive and hard to get it to. But I give it a go... as I am just itching to thrash Boney's ass
Or do you guys know a better game on the 1790-1820 war theme ?
