I have mounted and installed this game a number of times and once complete it asks if you want to install DirectX - I already have the latest - but whichever option I chose it then asks if I want to remove certain files - I initially assumed it meant unnecessary installation files and chose to removed.

I then discover the entire game has been deleted (or never installed). On the next installation I choose not to remove these files to the same effect.

Am I missing something obvious? My rig is fairly powerful with all the latest drivers etc. and the demo of this game worked fine.

Any ideas?

I too had this problem but during the install of some sort of util to allow the game to be played online (forget the name, but after the main install) it asked me if i wanted to remove backup files and i said yes.. then the whole friggin game was uninstalled Sad

So i tried again - let it install all the crap it wanted to.. all finished ok.. then i used add/remove progs to get rid of the extra crap i didnt want.

if its doing this to you regardless if you tell it to install/not install stuff. then i'd suggest after the main game installation - alt-tab out of it and exit install that way, right click on it in the taskbar and close it.. files should still be there and all you will miss is the DX and the online thingy.. which u dont need..
