EA as a developer is very good. The proof lies within the numbers.
There are 2 main factors as to why you would develop a game; the fun and the money.
EA manages to make relatively fun game which gather alot of money so yeah, they are good developers.
The EA everyone hates is the publisher side.
On my point of view, I hate every developer that claim their game will change gaming forever when they actually release another crappy first-person shooter.
I love developers who go beyond the established styles and genres to create a unique concept from within ordinary game aspects and I take for example the Portal team. The base of the game is simple and it is built on a first-person shooter yet nothing is set within the boundaries of the commonly known first-person shooter and that is what I admire in a developer; their ability to give us a fresh view on games.
Halo 3 will be the same shit as both Halo 1 and 2. No matter how nice the graphics are, no matter how cool the multiplayer is and no matter how nice the post processing effects are Halo 3 will be the same shit as the first and second one or the same shit therein as Doom 3, Prey and FEAR; just another first-person shooter with different colors and that is exactly what I hate from a developer; if your game will be nothing new just don't claim the opposite.
If I had to point a named developer I think I would go with Crytek for FarCry and Crysis is just the same shit with updated graphics and yet they claim their game will be the hotness. FarCry was just another fps and so will be Crysis and we can't change that fact so why claim it will change the world?

i voted others because ea isnt bad most of there games are good ok they have bad games but every developer\ publisher has those i really dont understand why all of you gauys hate ea some much

Yeah you should hate Microsoft Game Studios because lots of lots of "Exclusive" x360 games to sell it's precious console and for delaying Halo 2 for pc for about more than two years now. And mgs will release it "Vista only" and the game doesn't even use dx 10 and such

FarCry was really good game. If it was to hard for you then its your problem. FarCry was something new. But if you are one of those "shoot and run" players then every game is crap.
Codemaster <--- used to be good but now it seems only crap games are released from them.
EA <---- the same shit over and over again every year. Their games are like add-ons not a new game. Stop releasing fucking patches ... but hey some idiots buy their games.. so why not take their money the easy way.
Invictus... remembered the 1NSANE game was really good. But now... some games that have been released are crap and buggy.
Dont remember right now other company's but there are more of those crap makers. Some of them make so crap games that they aren't even worth to download. Even when they give it for free.

they make good games and if they dont they dont release fifa 08 or madden 08 or another great series you and thousnads of others will whine because it was not released

Adagio.81, EA is currently developing Army of Two amongst many other titles.
Also, Ubisoft never developed Settlers, it was developped by Blue byte
discworld, what was new in FarCry?

The people that hate blizzard suck. How can you hate Blizzard when all that they have done is bring out good games? Ffs don't hate a developer for not giving out info about their games they do what they want let them, when they bring out a product It's top notch. What a lame reason to hate a developer for not announcing a sequal to one of their top games..... Let's hate all the developers that didnt announce a sequal to one of their major success....

good games from EA ? The last game I remembered that was good was Command And Conquers Generals and Zero hour. Loved those games.
FarCry ... what was new? hm lets see ... the fucking AI ? The AI was really smart... even today's standards the AI still good. If you had the balls to play that game on a normal level and dint start shooting nervously everywhere when you saw someone then you saw that the AI know how to use teamwork to defeat the player. If there was a team leader then he would have ordered his men to surround you and try to take you down. The AI never just stud there if it had the change to run away and take cover. FarCry was one of those games that made you plan your attack or else the AI would kill you.
All the fucking graphical engine and the HUGE MAP was new. Like so much freedom to move around the island... and it was really nice and good looking. Even these days the graphics look really good... HL2 game after that game and the maps looked so small and crap compared the freedom of FarCry.
And for the fucking first time: Bullets went through wood houses like they should...
And the use of cars, boats and shit to move around the island...
Dam if you don't c anything new in FarCry ... then you have to play that game again. And NOT on the easy level. Try the normal... much better experience. And for fuckign sake... that game was HARD not like those "easy kid games.. where you feel like you are a god".
But hey... some idiots even manage to get stuck in FPS so.... those better buy EA crap because EA loves to take money from idiots with these “new game releases that are actually patches for the old game”....  Thats why I like EA

i personaly like some developers.... some of them are crap some of them are good...
but yes... making a good game takes time... usually over 4years  |
