|
 |
I cant start my control center for catalyst. I noticed that now after installing catalyst 6.9, it might have been like that before the install also since the last time i played with the control center was like 3 months ago.
Nothing happens when i try to start it, i have tried with the icon on the desktop, the button on the screen-settings but nothing seem to work.
Any ideas about what could be wrong?
EDIT: I could try to uninstall and reinstall all the ATI-stuff but i would like a simpler solution.

Ok, nothing happens for me even on the secound click. I have downloaded some security updates for .Net 2.0 now, maybe that helps something.

There usually saved in C:\ATI after u have installed them so no need to dl again.

hmm nothing seem to happen on the install by windows-update, i have that windows genuine problem like some other people. Maybe i am not allowed to install updates untill that is fixed.
Edit: Now after about a minute it seems to be installing the updates, strange. Its very very slow.

with the uninstall did you do it via remove/addsoftware or via
C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\UninstallAll
?

remove/addsoftware, but i also manually deleted the ATI directory after.
But maybe \ATI Technologies\UninstallAll is better? Worth trying?

with that tool, it removes all ati related stuff on your computer. So you might give it a try.
