Ok, here's a quick question. If I wanted to go onto IRC and chat with some people about some interesting PC Games, what groupd would I go to for PC App ISOs, which is listed as one of your sections? I havent found anything that tells what sections equate to what IRC channels.

You seem to be VERY confused. IRC is a chat protocol, for chatting to people.. the groups you mention above are usenet groups, which is a totally different thing, and on that note, it would be against the forum rules to tell you which to use. We can however give you advice on how to use them.. to an extent.

if I go to mIRC, connect to an EFNet channel and type in #alt.binaries.dvd. Up comes a group with loads of people who chat about DVDs. I know because I am in there everyday. I want to join the room where people talk about DVD games. maybe #alt.binaries.cd.image? I'm looking to talk to people about this flight simulation game I've been using.

Ahh.. ok I get you now.. Using the term "group" in your second post confused matters. Try #alt.binaries.games ..
