K going nuts here. This is what I have done.
Installed using the Image on the STON3D CLONE using VCD 8.0.0.4...Correct?
Mounted the STON3D CLONE in VCD (Virtual drive can't mount in a Physical...dont ask why) Correct?
Tried to start and no go "please insert bla bla"
Or do I need another version to install and only run it with the STON3D CLONE?
I am realy giving up on this guys...
Maybe someone that got this working would have the kindness to make a

Step 1 :
Install VCD 8.0.0.4 , pick standard version when installing
Step 2 :
mounth the dvd in the new virual Vcd8 drive , run autorun and let it fail
Step 3 *:
mouth the virtual in a real drive LETTER , run autostart this time game will run
----------------------------
is you have the saves then put them in your Gothic3 directory in your documents
if the save will not be recognised by the game update the game (recomend it) and then run the save
* no i am not on drugs you can mouth virtual images in your real drives letters using Vcd8.0.0.4

Cheeeeers! MAN! Got it working.....JESUS! I thought I was going nuts!. I actually used the Virtual/Physical Drive trick and it frigging worked...after about 3 total freezes.

It works for me to but starting a new game freezes over and over again.
What I need is a savegame right after the starting intro.
Would be thankfull if anyone can provide me(us) with it.

I did the standerd install of V CD But Im not sure how you guys are using the program to mount the image on a actual drive.

Right klick the VCD icon in your task bar.
You should see at least one of of you physical drives there (check the drive letter if you are not shure.)
Point at it and another little menue pops with a list of functions. point to Mount (in my case einlegen, German version). Now if you done the right thing G3 should be in that list together with Audio, DVD etc that pops when pointing at Mount. Simply select G3 and it should load.
Also from there you can LOCK the CD ones its mounted, simply hold the cursor over the drive and you will see properties
click that and you should see a LOCK button.

and i cant use any of them?

Well yea that happens....sort of random really. I reinstalled using my Physical (virtual drive when installing) and it seems to have help (maybe only in my head, but still seems to hold) and remember to LOCK! the CD as I explained a few posts back in pictures

Well its been discussed in the STON3D thread that it helps preventing the lockups...not sure there as it does still lock up from time to time.

Yeah there was a link but the player who spread them saved at day 2.
And what I hope to require is a savegame right after the starter intro.
Cause action can be made in the first day that could alter the whole future of how you are going to play.

You need to mount it like an image. At work here so I don't have the software installed. If I remember correct you have to go to CD management or something like that. You will see the Audio, DVD folder etc. Right click in that window (or left cant remember) and Mount the G3 ISO Image. Then it should show up.

1. Is virtual cd v8.0 demo sufficient or do u need v8.04 full version??
2. i can't seem to mount any images to my physical drive. if i click on add/eremvoe virtual drives, my physical drive is greyed out
plase help

I use the demo version 8.0.0.4. Had to reboot a couple of time for it to really get it working. Have no real manual on how to do it. I think it depends a lot on your hardware etc.

What do I have to do ?
Also it should work with the rzr crack no problem ?
