Blockbuster Ready to Ship Simultaneously to 27 Countries in Eight Languages
Microsoft Game Studios today announced that Halo® 2 for Xbox®, the most-anticipated video game of the year, has gone gold and will ship simultaneously over three days to 27 countries in eight languages. Halo 2 will be available on November 9 throughout North and South America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. The sequel to the award-winning Halo: Combat Evolved, will be available in France, Belgium and Switzerland on November 10, as well as in Japan and the rest of Europe on November 11. Halo 2 is being localized in eight languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (traditional), Spanish, French, German and Italian.
In Halo 2, the action picks up where the first game ended. Master Chief, with the help of a small group of marines, has destroyed the religious artifact and artificial world known as Halo, and is making his way back to Earth. Upon arrival, he and the last surviving Earth forces will mount a titanic final struggle against the marauding Covenant armada.
Pushing the Xbox hardware to its very limits, Halo 2 will expand on everything that made the original game great, plus add a wealth of technological and gameplay advances. Significantly improved graphics, enhanced artificial intelligence (AI), an advanced real-time lighting engine and destructible interactive environments are just a small part of Halo 2’s evolution of design and technology. Every improvement in Halo 2 is designed to take gameplay to a new level -- and in the end, to tell a more compelling story.
Utilizing Xbox Live to redefine online play, Halo 2 will deliver superior online multiplayer capabilities. Whether playing with a clan on a new multiplayer map, boarding a friend's Warthog, dogfighting in Banshees or checking player stats, Halo 2 will bring the social experience to a higher level via Xbox Live. You guys think that it will come out earlier to this scene? I've got my game preorderd, but I'd love to get an extra week to practice this game, and then kick my friends' ass on nov 9. What are your predictions when itll be released?

am i the only person in the world thinking Halo is one of the most overrated games ever?

NOPE! I also think Halo is one of the most overrated games ever. Hopefully Halo 2 will be much better.

Plz tells us more detailed description of it's crappiness. What makes Halo games so crappy compared to other games in your opinion?

It is pretty much the same as the first one except with a few new weapons and stuff. If you didn't like the first you won't like this one. The major improvement is that it doesn't have the same repetition that the first one have so if that pissed you off with Halo 1 then give it a try.

Yeah that's what mainly what made me think Halo was so mediocre. It was repetition of the levels. If that's fixed then I'll probably be happy.

here i go, trying to explain why i find the halo games to be crappy.. don't expect much.
First of all, i do not like the general feel of it, it feels static and just plain stiff.
Basically i think the overall feel of the game is CRAP.
The theme of it i find to be boring, repetitive corridors, hangars and so on. Dark/dimmed rooms, quiet and still.. no movement and when u enter it these enemies appear from all over. Compared to other FPS's the ppl creating the maps over at bungie has no creativity nor imagination.
The enemies, they come in hordes of the same type, like 10 of those small muppets with squeeky voices, and 2 or 3 of those larger ones, over and over again.. "Wow, shit, what's that enemy? cool so he was invisible, hey i killed it, what's up now? oh, yeah.. the usual practice targets" If i liked that kind of gameplay i would have kept the Serious Sam games on my hdd.
The weapons.. the weapons.. well, to begin with i find all of the alien weapons to be plain boring, all of them fires these small plasmaballs, at differents rates of fire and size of projectiles.. well, sadly it's just not enough to keep me entertained. The marine weapons i'm quite satisfied with, like the feel of the pistol, smg/rifle and the shotgun.. can't really complain bout em. Altho i do not like the futuristic kinds of weapons with digital displays showing ammocount and so on.. well, some games might nail the futuristic thingie quite good but no Halo.
Clearly you can see i really do not like games like Halo, and obviously their'e not appeeling to me, i find most shooters to be somewhat entertaining, but not halo. just hate it.
