Friend told me that, GoW will come out on PC. Done a little search, and find this article. I havent find any screens or videos so i doubt this is ever happend.
US, November 16, 2006 - In its holiday issue, soon to be on store shelves, PC Gamer may have inadvertently announced Gears of War for Windows. On page 28 of the Holiday 2006 issue, a display stand photographed on the Microsoft campus shows Gears of War among several upcoming PC games.
Microsoft could not confirm that Gears is in fact coming to PC and the company has no current plans for an announcement in the near future. The article in PC Gamer discusses the future of Windows Vista and Microsoft's efforts to support the new OS with high-profile games.
Though Gears of War is not guaranteed to arrive on Windows, the sighting raises hope. There's no doubt that Gears for Windows would be a hit. And if we're smart enough to figure that out, so is Microsoft.
Only a rumour at this point, but if it will come to the PC, expect to see it in about 2 years. In the meantime I am having shitloads of fun playing it on my 360
While neither Epic nor Microsoft have talked about a possible PC version of their Xbox 360 third person shooter Gears of War, the new PC Gamer magazine (which talks about gaming and Windows Vista) has a picture of a Games for Windows retail store display that shows a PC box copy of Gears of War alongside other Microsoft PC games. Of course, this does not mean the game is coming out on the PC but it's PC box on an official Microsoft Games for Windows display is a big hint.
Whats so special about GoW that we haven't seen already in a Third-Person Game? Level of Environmental Interactivity? Various ways to kill? Multiplayer Options? Isn't GoW is just the same old genre just dressed up with eye-candy?

it is and it's exlusive as always
that's what makes it special
An article in the latest PC Gamer issue showed a photo of a promo kiosk featuring a Gears of War Games for Windows retail box, indicating a port might be in the works. Now Microsoft, usually not commenting on rumors, issued a short statement that this is not confirmed, but merely a mistake by the artist as one of the MGS titles used as examples to show what their retail setup would look like. Still, no confirmation, does not mean it is not true ...

What's so special about game <x> that we haven't esen already in <insert genre>? Can you shoot people in it? Can you jump? Can you use multiple weapons? Is it possible to vaguely describe games more than this?
There are loads of awesome little touches to it, you have to play it to really have any idea what it's like.

Remember seeing the 1st E3 movie of Gears of War, you know the one when the drop team flies on on that platform landing craft. Anyhow, i thought WOW! this is gonna beat em all.
Saw a game play vid a couple of weeks back and thought " WTF, this is just another W,S,A,D shooter" I guess the devs always jazz up stuff to create hype If it comes out on PC I probably leach it and give it a go but. Crysis might be out then anyway so...whatever
Towards the end of the vid you can hear him say " I take those"....Michel Ironside? AKA Sam Fisher

If it's the clip I'm thinking about then I'm pretty sure that was a new Killzone game and not Gears of War.
These images were created using draft templates for the Games for Windows box art and a variety of Microsoft Game Studios cover images. Gears of War was accidentally included by the artist as one of the MGS titles used as examples to show what our retail setup would look like. This DOES NOT indicate a confirmation that Gears of Wars will be a Games for Windows title -- it was a concept image created by a concept artist, nothing more. In fact, if you look closely you’ll also see that Age of Empires III and Rise of Legends are also branded Games for Windows, and this is not actually the case (Age of Empires III: The Warchiefs is a Games for Windows branded game, but not the original Age III).
We created this image around the E3 timeframe when we were first preparing to announce and show our Games for Windows retail efforts. Shortly after the insanity that is E3, we noticed the box art, and the image was supposed to be removed from circulation. When we provided the package of art assets to PC Gamer for their cover story, we zipped up a directory of our already-public E3 assets as well as more current images (many of which PC Gamer did not use). Unfortunately, we didn't realize that this image was in that directory, and it just happens to be the one that PC Gamer figured prominently in their story. Our bad.
It's not fake, and it's semi confirmed already. It is comming guys, it's just too big of a title to pass a PC release. They are just waiting for PC hardware to mature to a more closer level of the X360.

When it eventually comes it'll probably not only be a shit port, but out of date too, just like Halo. If you want to experience the game as it was intended then get the 360 version, otherwise don't bother

There is no such thing as "semi-confirmed" Its either confirmed or not, in this case its not remotely confirmed. However, its just been confirmed you are a douche, thanks for playing.

If there are still cheap idiots that complaint SCDA doesn't support SM2.0 in this day and age, then yes, I'd say avarage PC hardware is way below X360 specs.
It'll come to pc, albeit extremely delayed much like halo. They would never admit it now as the game is driving console sales . . .
the PC version is allready done but like lastrite said they needed a game that would sell xbox360 ... and we all know that o the PC the smartie ms protection would not stops US
So in other words, GoW won't bring much to an already crowded genre since '93? I'm waaaayyy more hyped for Crysis due to all the ingame videos and especially since it somewhat takes the genre and moves it forward. Technologically.. it looks superior to anything out there but its the mod community that'll take it beyond the developer's original goals much like OOO did for Oblivion! Damn.. Why design expansions when communities will do it for free!
