Aronofsky hasn't let me down yet, so looking forward to this one. Never been into wrestling, but the trailer looks absolutely amazing. I'm sold on the performance of Rourke already.

Woah, thanks for the heads up! Any info on quality and show-stoppers like bw scenes, captions, etc?
Could this movie bring at least an Oscar nod to Rourke? It's so good to see him come back and do some quality stuff, plus this role seems to fit his life so well.

I remember "A Prayer for the Dying", a great drama with Mickey Rourke (1987) back when he was still in the game. Great movie, highly recommended.

My cousin was a professional wrestler and made the big time back in the 80's and went up against the likes of Hulk Hogan and others. He is now a bounty hunter.
this is a very true to "the real thing" movie. i was damned impressed.
There should be an Oscar in this for Rourke.
Although, I kept thinking of Dog The Bounty Hunter every time I heard Rourke or looked at him.
I would like to see what his training schedule was like to get in shape for that role.
I have read the interviews where he talked about it, but i would like to actually see the day to day schedule he went through to get into that shape.
Simply great performance and movie.
9.5/10 from me.

Fucking great movie. Not a wrestling fan or anything, but the movie is great. Mickey rourke is amazing in this, and supporting cast is great aswell. Disturbing ending though and felt as if somone just cut the ending off... left me with a heavy heart.
