nothing you can do about.
I played the demo of fifa 07 and I played the full game of pes6 and I think fifa owned pes this time.
Pes players like like they need to shit or something... very static...
fifa is more alive and the commentary @ fifa is like 4637463 times better.
if you think pes6 is better than fifa07 than you SUCK and should DIE

no when you looked at pes5 and fifa 05 or 06 ( NOT THE WORLD CUP EDITION!!!) pes5 owned fifa in all ways. But fifa is better now. It has nothing todo with the taste. And if you still think pes is better your gay  |

I've played PES for a long time now, on PS2. and that is the only soccer game that adds "reality". FIFA seemed so scripted with the repetetive goals and the "laser guided passes" 
Now, I have not played PES 6 on Xbox360, so I can't tell if Konami kept the same gameplay as on PS2 (or improved it). But I do have a (original) copy of FIFA 07 for xbox360 (got it yesturday).
A lot has changed in FIFA! the games flow is more calm, you can accually hold the ball for a while to plan your attack carefully. One thing I noticed straight away is that players with the ball turn much slower, I guess it depends on players personal abillities. But the old one-nanoseccond-360-turn is gone...
My first match was with Liverpool against Newcastle (on proffesional). And after the first half, Newcastle was up by 2 goals I didn't have a chance... It was very hard to score a goal, especially when the controls are different now... I was used to the old fifa games and allways tried to get pass the defence with one or two players No, you really need a good formation and plan your attack carefully.
So, in the seccond half, did some changes to the formation and did a coupple of subs. at the end it was 2-2 (I won on penalty shootout).
I must say the freekick system sucks ass. You can only shoot, there is no teammate support, curve ball or elevation. a big minus! (even tho I scored my first goal with a freekick)
All in all, after 9 years, I can REALLY enjoy a FIFA game. This is a brand new FIFA, the graphics are not to brag about, but the game is awsome. nothing compared to the PC version.

well mate first of all the way ou present your opinions ives me the impression that your taste is much different than mine. i care about gameplay first and foremst, and that s why pes is better.
but i haven;t played the full version of either game so wont jumpt to conclusions, but from the pc version of fifa 07 and the 360 demo i find that fifa is a lot better, but is missing one thing pes has alwasy had, the ability to every time have a totally different match.
every match on fifa is played the same way because it doesn't have the freedom pes has. and that is why i think pes6 will be better.
on pes you could try many different strategies and ways of playing and have may different outcomes. you can play one way on fifa, and if you try anything else you wont be able to keep posession or win. (basing mostly on the pc version of 07, which i liked at first (more than the 360 demo), but after a while became boring.)

i play both, and while you make some good points, it's down to taste - and what you want from a football game. Fifa is now alot more enjoyable to play - however it still lacks core features that PES allows - for example some of the tricks etc.
either way, myself and my mate found ourselves playing fifa 07 alot more..

I have been a big PES fan for years and even though the original poster is full of teen angst he has a point in that FIFA 07 owns PES6 this year (on the 360 anyway)

fifa 07 still suffers from frame rate issues when the camera is behind the goal, just before a goal kick. it was frame rate issues thats put me off fifa for about 5 years..

I think Pro Evolution as a series has itself to blame rather than lauding praise on EA for the way its advanced the Fifa series - at its core the gameplay in Pro Evo does verge on perfection, they tweak it a little every year sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse....the dribbling being an obvious example. I read that the dribbling style that was used in Pro Evo 4 then scrapped in Pro Evo 5 returns in Pro Evo 6.
My only problem with the series now though is that there effectively doing what EA used to do with the Fifa series i.e. making minor tweaks and adjustments year upon year where as the Fifa series takes what in comparison could be considered huge strides every year and isn't afraid to make major changes to the gameplay.
I thought what with the advent of a new batch of next gen consoles we would see KCET making significant changes along the lines of their huge move forward from ISS to Pro Evo. As a Pro Evo fan its a little dissapointing to see that there going to continue from where they left off with the previous gen of games.

lol fifa is good i like the loading match but pes6's gameplay walks all over fifa.. the demo sucks arse i have been playing pes for 4 days straight and i love it not a falt with it maybe its just to hard for u and you need to go play ur crappy arcade ver of football

maybe its me but for sport games i like to here the real names and stuff, i've tried to get into PES many times and although i like the fluid animation more than fifa i jst cannot get into it or enjoy it as much

I like both but I really like having proper leagues in Fifa if I were a paying customer having played both I would buy Fifa 07 (and thats the first time i have said that) Credit to EA they have made Fifa alot better.

m$ has a deal with companies that they have to try to release the game at the same time as all other versions of the game.
this is probably a perfect example when the developers had to strip the game (pes6) from alot of content just to make it in time.
why do you guys think the first batch of EA-sport games was so mediocre? they were all stripped to fit the time schedule. m$ is to blame.
hopefully they will release a patch soon, that will fix mp-problems, edit mode and more. even so pes6 is still the game ill go with. tried the demo of fifa and didnt like it. the gameplay is still there in pes6 and thats what matters most to me.

Im not really a football fan at all and in the past Ive always preferred PES over FIFA but having played both last night, I was highly impressed with FIFA. I cant begin to imagine how amazing the game looks in high definition and the licensed music tracks during the pause menu are great! Easily the most visually realistic looking football game I have ever seen.
