Tried the Demo off Steam (350MB Download) only to check out how the Unreal 3 Engine runs on my PC. Silky Smooth but thats nothing to be proud of considering small indoor environments and nothing extraordinary in terms of textures and effects.

Also the max Resolution was capped off at 1280x800, and I'm far too lazy to dig through .ini files to test if its possible to set it to 1600x1200 oh well.

The demo looks to provide a real good sense of what the games about and in that regard its a pretty stale.

I hope UT 2007 runs like this (yeah right)

Just because it runs on UE3, doesn't mean it will look great. This game was made for Live Arcade, uses compressed and procedurally generated textures. If anything, this is an indication how UE3 games will NOT look like.

Gears of War is on the UE3 engine, and it looks pretty damn sharp if u ask me.
Besides MS has just launched their hd-movie/tv download service, a movie is like 5 gigs, i dont think they would mind if an arcade game hit 200 megs Very Happy

Anyways, it looked pretty good, and was pretty fun, fun for a small game. Ya know like bejeweled and such.

Lol, I wonder how mucv have the developers paid Epic to make this game using UE3... Couldn't they have written and inhouse engine that would do all they needed?

Well, that may very well be true, as it's UE3. UE3 is DX9 ONLY. The question is, does UE3 support non-complete DX9 support (i.e. require only SM2.0), or does it require the whole deal (SM3.0 only). Boy, I'd like to see the reaction of x800 owners if UT2007 comes with "SM3.0+" requirement. Seems highly unlikely, but who knows...

The Steam demo is 438 MB.
It seems the full version but without the "save game" option.
I think that it's possible to play the game completely but without saves.
Someone have to download the Steam demo and crack it Smile

It also say -> "Unlock Full Game". <-
I think that it's probably the full game but with some fuctions disabled ( but sure they are on it! )
Other demo versions have the same message?
