im a pc owner i´ve ever been but im about to invest on a console for games like gta 4, force unleashed, and other upcoming games. So please tell me wich one should i get for better performance and good graphics. see u later

If your going to mod it... The obvious choice would be the 360! If you don't care about buying games. I would determine which exclusive games mean more to you and go from there.

can u mod ps3? or do i have to buy ps3 games for so on. i heard ps3 runs smoother and graphic edges are sharper, compared to xbox360 it has better lightning and u can mod it but ati and ibm 3 processors arent as good a cellP u. i bet game devs are learning how to take more potential of it than in past. only want to know if i cant mod ps3. i think not since there are no games for download.

X360 has better GPU and better RAM/VRAM. Fact. Period
The Cell vs. Xenon debate is still undecided. In theory, the Cell is ~50% more powerful for some calculation but weaker for others.
Overall the X360 is the better designed gaming machine.

Ninja Gaiden II alone makes the Xbox perfect. Mass Effect is there too if you don't trust your PC. I could make a complete list here, but you should make one yourself and decide what console better suits your needs. I've seen many similar games on both consoles, both seem to be equal GFX quality wise. Maybe one game will be slightly better/faster on a PS3 and another will be better on the XBox.

Basically the lower the firmware you have on your ps3 the better, version 1.50 is ideal. It will be cracked theres just no telling when.
If you're looking for pirated games 360 is where it is, but if you're looking for a few cool exclusives and blu-ray then it's ps3.

ok now im getting feedaback! maybe xbox360 for now, the last thing im in doubt is the blu ray, all blu rip movies in .mkv look grainy in my new sony v3000 but i think is because there is difference in image quality between .mkv (blu ray rip) and blu ray itelf im i right? or can i have better quality with this tv on a blu ray. and have u played gta 4 on xbox 360 yet? does it run smooth or u people have notably frame drops? see u later

Mort i think there is a difference in image quality, im not saying the image is bad, contrary! is super but still u get a grainy on blu rips .mkv, maybe is the hdmi connector since i have it plugged direct to gpu with a normal plug. u have it with hdmi? thats why then. still i need a console for hdmi support with my 40´ full hd. My 8800 ultra doesnt have hdmi.

id say xbox for now, in a years time itll probably be time to invest in a ps3 when it begins to come into full flow and a possible hack by then.

its a tough decision man. they both are practically the same. i have both a 360 and a ps3. Outta my experience, the ps3 is more reliable. you get free online play. your joystick doesnt need batteries or a charger pack unlike the xbox.
i'd say go for the ps3

well im starting to belive xbox360 is the choice, only for gta4 it deserves to be bought, there are some other reasons like other of u said ´pirate games´ but ill do my best not to mod it for some time if i get it, i dont want to loose performance on the machine and have it nice and dandy. There are games out there that i like and dont want to wait for them to come to pc....THAT is if they make them ports to pc. examples condemned 2, force unleashed, fable 2, battlefield bad company and well, u know what else. Damn i wished they start shipping those 360 with blu rays inc.
One question for u all is this true about u being able to duckt a vacum with ur xbox? i like that idea dont u? lol

LAIR was typically bad for the motion sensor, but Warhawk, the motion sensor was very accurate, to be honest, you can't just say it suck's just because it responded horribly on one particular game, sorry if i'm being offensive to you Juba, it's just my feeling's on the generic, "it suck's" statement.

GTAIV plays fine on my Xbox, there's a slight framedrop now and then but it's understandable. No one can tell you what console is better, it's all personal taste. There's no distinct difference between the two quality wise. Just make a list of games and choose then.

PS3 no way to play backups atm, XBOX360 depending on drive easy to firmwareflash and play the backups... GTA 4 as far as i heard higher resolution and more beatifull on XBOX360, and Ace Combat(before sony exclusive) now on XBOX360 only.
Games like Gran Tourismo and Tekken on PS3 i will definitly miss love em much, but i piad for my xbox arcarde with GTA 4 , HDDVD DRIVE with remote Control , 3 months gold status on XBOX360 Live 200 Euro and after i will have sold the HDDVD DRIVE with Remote Control and the 3 months gold on Ebay I hope I get around 50 Euro back so i will have paid 150 for the xbox with gta.... and will use the money for firmwareflash with full 2 warranty.. so i will have paid around 200 Euro for firmwareflashed XBOX 360 Arcarde inclusive GTA 4
cheapest PS3 is way to expensive for me and as long as not moddable to play backups not really interesting on my opinion...
Cant wait to play GTA 4 and Ace Combat... watched a Trailer of Ace Combat todaywas so beatifull ...had tears in my eyes...

I'd say go for the PS3. I have one for the past year now and very happy with it. I use it for everything, gaming, some online browsing, music, divx, dvd's, blu ray. I have no need for another dvd/blu ray-device under my tv. This one does it all.
Some games on the PS3 are really awesome (Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Heavenly Sword) and more will come (Metal Gear Solid 4). I like the easy to use interface, free online, only thing is, it's not cracked yet, but worth it none the less.
My brother owns an XboX360 and i never even looked at it. Tried gears of war for an hour when it got released but that's it... and the interface just doesn't look user friendly when you don't know your way around it...

Xbox 360:
+ DLC
+ Easily modable
+ Can play pirated games and HD movies
+ A lot more AAA exclusives out so far
+ Better preformance/graphics
+ MUCH, MUCH better online support for something like 30$ a year (If you can afford buying PS3 games, then you sure as hell can afford this)
+ Can play HD content if its in wmv container, so you can watch blue-ray rips in full HD via your xbox360
- heating problems (easily fixable one's but still there)

dude... you're to kind. I really like the 360 but there are more cons.
- not integrated wireless adapter.
- DVD drive often makes to much noices.
- its not compatible with keyboard/mouse
- / + Xbox live Gold isn't free, but then again its much better than the PS3 online service.
But id still go for the 360 because its cheap and moddable =)

yeah LAIR is the extreme case, but in general the motion sensing is badly implemented in games and is tacked on. youre not missing out by not having it.
