I have a problem ... I'm using an IBM T40P laptop which was quite good when it released 3 years ago... (the company paid it 5000 euros Smile ).

It has 1gb of RAM and everything but its GFX Card is a ATI Mobility FireGL 9000 which has 64 meg of RAM.

Of course i'm not interested in running FEAR or PREY on this PC, but i would like to play some games that are not so demanding like Civ 4 and similar strategy games...

My problem is that i tried a few games and NONE would run on this PC... probably because none of the recent ATI drivers support my video card...

So my question is there anything i can do??? I mean the laptop itself is ok, it would be crazy if i had to get a new one, only because ATI won't support the video card Sad

I'm sure other guys here who have a desktop at home would like also to play games on their laptops... but it seems none cares much about us Sad

Civ 4 is actually fairly demanding (especially if you expect the movies to run smoothly).

sorry to hear dat m8 Sad iirc the only ati drivers that worked properly for my ati card were the omega ones Rolling Eyes That was a while ago and ive since had 3 nvidia gfx cards, it may be worth a shot emailing ATI but I think tbh if the omegas didnt work your outta luck Sad I guess if you could get new working drivers somehow that lappy should play Civ 4 fine, well specs seem ok

Good luck

Nick
