The game features hours of gameplay, both single-player and multiplayer options, and hundreds of different weapon options, making the game one of the most customizable RPGs ever. PHANTASY STAR UNIVERSE focuses on Ethan Waber, a young man who has joined the space force to save his sister. She is trapped on a strange planet that is under siege by a mysterious alien group known only as the Seed. The storyline and characterization are very deep and engaging, exactly what a player would expect from a PHANTASY STAR game. The single-player campaign includes three huge worlds to explore and over 20 different dungeons. Once players have completed the single-player mode, they can pay a small monthly fee to continue the story online. Here, they can join with other players to form a squad and then venture into unknown territory to battle evil. Whether playing online or off, PHANTASY STAR UNIVERSE is sure to offer gamers a great RPG story and fun gameplay. Since it's rpg i'll check it out (though i really hate the anime type characters- big eyes... pink hair, blah...)

Hehe me too, ive never understood the appeal of stupid looking characters with overlarge eyes and spiky blue hair.
But if like me you love RPG's then unfortunately a lot have such chars in them. Especially the PS2 Jap RPG's.
Puts me off a lot of games though, but some people must like ridiculous looking chars in the games they play.

Not my cup of tea...sorry. Used to play RE back in the PS1 days 
Don't like Manga or Anime either...just looks tacky (Asian) overdone, whatever. There is some exceptions, but generally that's my point of view.
Go to japan a lot because of my job, maybe that has put me off. I love their food but, fighting for the 1st place with Italian in my book

I played it abit on dreamcast too - but I just can't remember anything about that game..could be cos I didnt put too much energy into it I guess.

I'm not really into the anime culture although I love trying new stuff. I've heard alot about the Phantasy Star games and I'm curious to know, is this one turn-based or live action??
That's about the only thing I can't stand in game; when it's freaking turn-based. It kills so much the immersion I just wanna destroy everything around me.
