I have this weird thing,
Sometimes when I try to run a backup on my 360, while at dashboard, it reads it a few secs, and than it states "open tray", which means, doesn't recognize...
than, I turn off and on again, and it runs fine..
Anyone? It really pisses me off.

if you have a samsung drive you will need to do the rubber band mod what happens is for some reason after a while the sammys have a tendancy to read past the inner part of the disk on backups. what you do is tie a small pece of rubber band (about 2mm in width) at the end of the track and it acts as a stopper after that u'll have no open tray issues. There's a video on you tube showing you what i'm trying (and prolly failing) to explain. It worked fine for me no problems since doing this. Many other people with samsungs get this after a while

I've seen a really nice video tutorial on youtube for the rubberband mod.
I have not yet had to do it but to watch the video tutorial was worth it.

Does that only apply to the Samsung?

I have an Hitachi with hacked firmware but in order to get the games to boot, I have to power the console on with the backed up disc in the drive and without the video cable connected. After about 10 seconds, I connect the cable and the dash loads followed by the game. I then have to eject the game and follow the same procedure when playing a different backed up game. I assume this is all normal unless there is another way I am unaware of?

May the NFOrce be with you always.

Why do you have to do that? I just run the backups like a normal game. I don't need to switch video cables. What firmware are you using?

Change either the firmware in the x360 or get a Pioneer burner with Verbatim discs...
