When I'm trying to play, the player movement feels jerky and delayed, yet everything is running at 30-40fps (I have a crappy AthlonXP 1700+ w/ GF5900XT vid card, 512mb ram WinXP SP2 so my settings are all on low).

An example is when I'm moving continuously and stop all keypresses, I will keep moving in the direction I was moving and have extreme difficulty mouse-looking around due to jerky and erratic movements. It's almost as if there is a delay in the game reading the keyboard inputs or something... I've tried using both the crack and the securom loader (procyon) with no change in results.

Anyone have this problem? I have played and beaten the original FEAR a while back and have never had this problem occur. Tried it again and it plays smooth without problems just like before...

well how to tell you this your comp is to slow for this game , and why Fear Xp is slow now becoz it adds new effects to the game engine that lowers the already buggy performance (more advanced havoc physics + Pixel shader 3.0) , the same was with the expansion for Painkiller ...

Try forcing in DirectX 8 shaders, I had the same problem with FEAR & FEARXP.

<JonTG> Man, my penis is so big if I laid it out on a keyboard it'd go all the way from A to Z
