Wheres GTA and GTA2!!!! Also Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 2!!
Also, Surely Ridge Racer should be on that list as isnt that the game they showed the Emu running??

WTF!
Where is Final fantasy tactics, Final fantasy VII, Castlevania Symphony of the Night?
What a crappy list of PSX games. I hope someone finds out how to convert actual PSX games to whatever format those PSP PSX games are going to be.
Hopefully someone will figure out how to convert PSX games we already own to be playable on this emulator.
Sony is seriously pissing me the fuck off.

If Sony had a Brain Stem they would have made sure the first games to be released were games people might actually want.
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Tekken 3
Syphon Filter
Resident Evil 2
Final fantasy tactics
Final fantasy VII,VIII,IX
Dino Crisis 2
Vagrant Story
Chrono Cross
Metal Gear Solid
Castlevania Symphony
Gran Turismo 2
Just a small group of games that would be considered must haves for the PSP. Or atleast games that I give a shit about for the PSX.

guys, guys! hold on.
I'm not a Sony fan in any way, but I do understand that it isn't as simple as pointing out the best PS1 releases and emulate them first.. what about emulation problems, size, copyrights and so on.
This world just isn't that simple, sorry...

Why sink resources into a losing franchise?
First impressions are important in this business, if they want their PSX emulation to take off, they should dive into some better titles to get a good flavor going.
If they pump out shit first, they won't have any resources to get into good games. |

I'm listening to a OPM staff - radioOPM podcast. it includes a interview with Phil Harrison.
He confirms 2 interesting things:
the PS3 will NOT upscale PS1 and 2 graphics! damn, thats sad for the PS3 owners.
AND
the PS1 emulator will be included with the november PSP firmware release! Damn, thats sad for us 1.50 users : (
So we can be happy the list suck sToOz : D

To emulate final fantasy 7 they will need to come up with a good compression method for the 4 cds (or was it 3?). It's not as easy as it sounds but it can be done.

It was three discs. But let me tell you its very possible to compress the full game.
For example I have Final Fantasy VII for the PC installed on my HD with the full movies. All three discs installed to play the full game through without swapping discs.
The exact size of the game with the Movies intact? Only 1.32 gigs. Thats it. Thats about the same size as the average PSP game. Medal of Honor for the PSP is 1.30 gigs.
So its very possible.
