Hello all,
I've got a small problem with Need for Speed Carbon (Razor1911 release). It refuses to install, it tells me to upgrade to DirectX 0 or later??? The License Agreement is not visible either all I see is 2 squares. Anyone who has a solution for this problem?

was already solved in the main thread. Just set the setup.exe to win2000 compatibility mode
|

Ok, is it possible to play this game in windowed mode and if u can. how because i can't seem to find the window where i change it.

havent installed it yet, but most of the time ctrl+enter does work for games that allow windowed gaming. A better idea would be to reduce the resolution ingame if you want to counter performance issues... |

right click on the icon(.exe)---->properties--->direct access tab--->execute mode as:
a)Minimized
b)Maximiced
c)Normal.
and yes alt+intro does the work too but not all apps have maximize<->minimize options enabled when they run.
for example warhammer darkcrusade had all window modes disabled.(no alt+intro, neither via properties right clicking the .exe icon.)

I can't even run autorun.exe or setup.exe! Tried setting to Win2000 compatibility mode, but nothing. I see autorun.exe show up in my Task Manager for like 4 seconds then disappears. Never actually see the install screen. Anyone have a similar experience?
