From such a small swarm, there must have been someone with a super upload capacity.
I've had over 700 KB/s on torrents before, but only on super popular files.

Private torrent sites are the best i download full speed all the time! i have an 8mb connection so i get 750 -800kb/s and thats perfect for me no need to be faster!

I never understood why newsgroups should be any "leeter" than torrents? Aren't both on the same level, could someone enlighten me please? I have never used both of them, so i'm serious.

My top-speed was yesterday, I was getting my game grim fandango 40 km/h when cycled to downhill. Man that was fast. Almost crapped my pants. Not like the time, when i did my personal speed record, was when i uploaded my fallout tactics cd straight out 5 floor window to some poor bittorrents users head.
oh the blood and the gore.

In my eyes its not about "leetness" .. I think I'm probably alone on that one.. The problem is the way in which the two protocols work, bit torrent, is horrid, just the way it transfers files in inherently bad and causes a huge amount of un-needed network traffic causing most networks to die under the packet spamage.. newsgroups use a nice, well developed protocol which does not end up as the priority on the network meaning that you can download all day long without anyone on your network knowing..
Bit torrent has its place in the world, but it needs improving..
