I think you haters have only tried cheap marzipan with too muich sugar in it and less almonds. Quality marzipan is delicious, cheap one tastes like nothing.

NoNoNo, I tried the quality mazipan, it was imported from Germany I think. Plus I know all these Europeen older folks. They know their mazipan and they are always tried to force me to eat. AND DRINK, homemade powerfull wine at 12 in the afternoon.
