Been using Fuji and cheap Matrix media.. But been having bad luck with the Matrix the last few burns, so not sure if it's the media or the burner going on me. Just ordered 80 Verbatim's and will see how that goes.
Since we talking about this, What drives do people recommend? I've heard good things about the Pioneer 111D? What else are folks using?

I use Pio 111d. Used verbatim, Fuji, Memorex, TDK ( Fuji, memorex,TDK are same media, RITEK) and all workd fine. 111d seems to burn bets and it auto bitset the dvd+r to dvd-rom for you.

Dont try using any other drive than a pioneer or you will get open tray most of the time..

Verbatim DVD+R DL, nothing else, well maybe other discs work too but you can never go wrong with Verbatim.

I've used all srts. Verbatim, Nashua, Phillips, Memorex...and they all work perfectly. Theres no need to go strictly for Verbatims.

Sry, but bullshite... don´t tell people that only Pioneer works, when u obviously don´t have the facts!
I have a xbox360 hitachi and uses Liteon, and it works 100%,
and I know there are more burners that also works with hitachi.

Using Lite-On too with a Hitachi. If you want a guaranteed playable backup, go Verbatim. If you feel like a gamble or spot some really cheap discs just give em a go. I've had success with nasty looking 'Tuffdiscs' and blank white CMC.MAG-something dye discs. If they're really cheap, they'll be so for a reason.. you might get a few duds which fail to even start writing. Lucky for me, they place I get my media from does a no quibble returns dealio. I had a batch of 10, 5 of which failed to write at all so I got a free 10 which all worked great.

just tested some RiDisc Printable (2.4x) Double Layer DVD+R pack of 25 for £17 with the new
RICOHJPND01 dye, out of 25 only 2 fails, so far so good on hitachi and samsung drives, can only burn at 2.4x but at under half the price of equivalent verbs worth it.

I have used many types of disk - verbs, ritek etc i even found some dirt cheap ones made by Aone or something and even they work perfectly! no movie skipping or anything with gears of war, im using the pioneer 111d and i think its a bit of trial and error with your 360 as to which disks it likes.......

Is it possible to copy from disc to disc yet or create an image from an already burnt disc and burn that?
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Create an image in NRG format I assume which means you would have to use Nero to burn that image?
Edit: I was told the only way to backup a 360 game was to burn the scene release image.
May the NFOrce be with you always.
