I know practically nothing about non established/indie/obscure kind of music (DAMN YOU, MTV!!!!), and since the only kind of fucking shit that plays on the radio and MTV is pre packaged, mass culture, mainstream vomit, i need some help. I'm looking for some REALLY smooth, mellow and slow jazzy kind of music, preferrably with a female vocalist. You know, the kind of stuff you can sit back and listen to on the bus on your way home to make you feel better after a really shitty day. I did some googling and came up with Norah Jones. I really liked it. So i want more of that type of music, only jazzier.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks.

Norah Jones is indeed good
also look at:
katie melua (female)
Jack Johnson (male)
Jose Gonzalez (male)
not really that "jazzy" btw , but quite relaxing

also you can check out the "verve remix" albums, theyre basically electronica remixes of old jazz songs, but theyre done very well (vol 2 is the best, and vol 1 aint bad either... vol 3 is pretty weak though)
