"Left 4 Dead feels like one of those games that was always about to happen," writes Jim Rossignol in today's PC Gamer. "It's you and your friends versus a city of rabid mutant zombies." What's this? Why, a new multiplayer co-op survial horror game from Valve and chums Turtle Rock, of course!

Wow sounds very cool, I like the idea of being able to play as the zombie bosses, cool stuff.

Of course the co-op alone has me interested. Smile

Will definately keep an eye on this one!

Co-Op FTW!

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.

Someone who played the game wrote:
Zombie Types:

- Normal zombie... Mindless, can lunge at you and are all pretty fast. They don't just wobble towards you and it's easy-pickings. These are all AI controlled.
- Hunter: Zombie with a leap attack and can turn invisible unless a flashlight is put on them, or they attack... Can't remember details on it too much though.
- Boomer: A fat zombie that is fairly slow. He explodes when killed and can barf on the survivors which makes any nearby zombies come towards him and they are his only target.
- Tank/Hulk: Big strong guy who can throw concrete... You don't want to mess with him!
- Smoker: A zombie that when he dies emits a huge cloud of smoke where you can't see at all while in it. He also has a long tongue to pull survivors towards him... Useful in seperating the survivors to make them easy pickings for other zombies.

For the weapons for the survivors:

- M4A1
- Uzi
- Sniper
- Frag Grenade
- Molotov Cocktail
- Pistol
- Shotgun

There may be more, but that's all I remember.

is there not a similair mod to this out already? zombie master? i can vaguely remembering an e-shot from gamespot about it...

http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/action/halflife2/download.html?sid=6169573&q=zombie%20master&tag=result;title;2

In this multiplayer mod, a group of human survivors must work together to achieve a common goal while battling the Zombie Master, who plays an RTS-style game and must eliminate the survivors.

prolly not as good as left4dead will be,but for a free mod might be ok Wink
i think ill check it out

when there is no more room in hell, the D34D will walk the earth

I was hoping the game would have exploration and quiet moments. With that 'fast walk' it's basically ice skating from one skirmish to the next. Hopefully we can mod it to be more tactical and scary by making the players less zippy.
