hey,
I have this banned xbox360, so naturally I can't connect to Live and update games.
My question is, are these updates are a necessity, or games should be fine even without them? I know every update is different, but i'm asking this generally.

play Bully: Scholarship Edition without any patches Cool Face and post if your xbox survives the stress HAHAHAH or try to finish the secondary missions in Darkness or try to play GTA4 DLC without patches LULZ if you are able to finish any missions or try to play Two worlds on xbox360 LULZ or try to play Fifa10 or NFS Shift Laughing

so yeah
there are
needed

some games are released in such a state they are hardly playable

Don't worry about them too much, this isn't like the PC where half the games are buggy shit. Devving for consoles is easier to test of course Laughing

played all games that u mentioned except for bully (what a pos game) and fifa (sorry just couldn't care less for a sport game. let alone a football), all run and were finished without a single problem

You can play just fine without updates.
