A bit of comment on Pukka's NFO. They say here in Russia they rush official DVD releases to compete with pirates but that's not quite true. In fact companies release cheap pirate copies themselves to cover the market. Less money is better than no money at all. That's where the good and early TCs come from. And then much later they get released as official DVD R5. For example, Pukka claims that an official R5 of The Departed was released as a TC and they're wrong. The R5 officially appeared yesterday so two weeks ago it was still a pirated TC.

Hmmm. well the fly scenes are OK, all CG mostly. Its just a very stereotype war film that's all. Against all odds, the good guy win, the bad guy is a "bad ass aristocrat looking GERMAN!" surprise Wink There is your 1 black guy (like always in a Hollywood flick) nah I am no racist.
Boy leaves girl, boy meets girl, kiss, kiss, best friend dies....should I go on? Wink

"Anachronisms: The film begins in 1916 but features several aircraft types that did not exist at the time, including Fokker triplanes, Sopwith Camels, SE-5s, and Bristol Fighters."

"Factual errors: A zeppelin is shown with a gun platform for anti-aircraft guns mounted on top of it. Zeppelins had neither anti-aircraft guns nor gun platforms."

"Factual errors: The German column marching through the fields near Lucienne's farm includes several tanks. The German Army built only a handful of tanks during the course of the war, the first time they were used in action was on the 21st March 1918. The majority of tanks used by the Germans during World War One were captured French and British ones."

etc etc...As a lazy Sunday, rainy day, seen all other films, heck I watch anything...this one could do ya.

If ur in to WWI... "Paths of Glory" (Kubrick) and "All Quiet on the Western Front" and "Gallipoli" still holds up well.
