- Story/Description:
Quote: | Officers is a 3D RTS game with a non-linear storyline where the player acts as a military commander. The game is also a unique combat simulator that covers the whole period of World War II. High emphasis has been laid on tactical and strategic aspects so that the player will have to take care of re-supplies and stockpiles in addition to tactical maneuvering and combat operations. Before starting the game, the player has to choose a side and type of troops he wants to play (infantry or tanks) and then after completing a tutorial mission, he goes to the front as a commander of a small subdivision. Even though the ultimate objective is to occupy the enemy's capital, the game will feature special missions and tasks. Position of the forces at the moment of the war outbreak is historically correct. Global AI then takes care of control of the armies and sets current objectives to the player. Eventually, the outcome of the war totally depends on tactical skills of the player and his performance.
|

I sort a like this, seems sort a serious...in a sort a sim way. Prob is there is no tut in the demo. Does anybody have a hotkey map or at least a smal tut link or something?
EDIT: My BAD! its all in the "Readme" file comming with the demo.
Camera Controls
Scroll -- Move the cursor toward the screen's edges or use arrow keys on the keyboard.
Rotate -- Move the mouse left or right while pressing the MMB.
Tilt -- Move the mouse up or down while pressing the MMB.
Zoom -- Rotate the mouse wheel up or down.
Hotkeys
"S" -- Stop (the unit will disregard all previous orders and stop immediately).
"A" -- Attack ground (the unit will start attacking the target area until further notice).
"C" -- Take cover (the infantry will take nearest available cover; vehicles will entrench themselves).

"M" -- Lay mines (the infantry will lay minefields in specified area).
"U" -- Sweep mines (the infantry will remove specified minefields).
"P" -- Pursue target (the unit will follow the target until further notice).
"L" -- Embark (the infantry will get on transport vehicles as passengers).
"D" -- Disembark (the infantry will get off transport vehicles).
"X" -- Cease fire (the unit will not attack enemy units until further notice).
"N" -- Use Roads (vehicles will use roads to obtain higher movement speed).
"F" -- Formation (selected units will maintain skirmish line formation when this option is checked).

Hmm, I thought this game was very dead. www.officers-game.com has been down for months and still is. Personally awaiting Theater of War.......
(might try the demo, though)
