Stuff like this has me spewing, all talk and once final product is released nothing of their promises is made. Remember that promised ingame footage of the large scifi battle on that bridge, can't remember the name of the game but it looked awesome and its exactly the same as this, just another prerender:LOL: As if I didn't know it back then already but seeing the actual differences makes it all the more sad.

I got it to work when I copy/Paste into Media Player (havent used that one for ages) - and I agree, this was worthless. CGI should be banned imo from game commercials UNLESS it says CGI in big letters somewhere on the screen during the trailer.

It doesn't necessarily need to be banned, the pun however is that this was lauded as ACTUAL INGAME footage. That to me deserves PS3 to flop, and I sincerely hope PS3 gets cracked real soon so I can have some payback. It should send a clear message to fucks like that who bring empty promises to the table. Its ok for a game developer to call his game the greatest game in the world, as long as the media he shows is real. Everyone tries to endorse their own product, but when its downright lying then there's really no excuse. In the middleages these guys would be flogged to death or stripped of their bodyparts.

Honestly i've seen nothing that really impresses me about the PS3 at all. Obviously if it is more powerful then the 360, the difference is minute.

People actually thought that the motorstorm and killzone trailers were real??? You cant be serious. I thought only Sony sheep still beleved in there claims. We saw this shit as far back as the PS1 from Sony.
IF you look at a true hardware comparison between the 360 and the PS3, at first the PS3 seems like the more powerful system. When in fact its all smoke and mirrors. The memory architecture alone has crippled the PS3. The design of the 360 is much more elegent and efficent, and does more than the PS3 with less. This has been said by many developers and engineers since the finals specs. But everyone beleved in the 2Tflop claims. ITs all BS. The PS3 is lucky if it can achieve 1 Tflop of performance, and thats a big if. The 360s GPU is amazing hardware.
Now we had side by side comparisons of games. Some debunk these by saying that they are 360 "PORTS" and thats why they look and play worse than the 360 versions. But games like COD3 were being developed for each platform simultanously. COD3 was said to have update graphics and particle effects for the PS3. Well i think everyone that follows console news has seen the side by side texture comparison. Or the side by side gameplay comparison. These clearly show the PS3 lack of Hi Def textures, bland colors, Bloom lighting instead of HDR, and the piss pour frame rate of the PS3. And the kicker, the same game on 360 is getting better reviews. These are clear signs, Sony fucked up. They are focused so much at trying to win a format war(Dont they ever learn) that they have lost sight of what made the playstation what it is today. Great games and gameplay.
Now there are two types, those that jumped ship to the 360 boat, or the others that say. Just wait, Once sony gets some first party titles, just wait, once we get MGS4. Just wait for the upconverting fix (Ps3 doesnt have a hradware scaler), just wait till 2008 when the true power is harnessed.
Yes im Anti Sony, they have done nothing but over promise, and under deliver. I was planning on buying a PS3 near launch, just like i bought my PSP on launch day. Not this time though.
I will probably be flamed for this, but I don't know - I don't see that much difference in these low-rez comparisons. Apart from the filter that made everything look plastic in the CGI demo, I can't spot any huge differences. Can anyone point something out? Not trying to be an asshole for once, just wondering.

Like dust or whatnot? And I haven't seen or heard of "crysis", googling it just now and comparing to my memories of farcry - crysis seems much more detailed. But the point I am trying to make, is dust isn't that important right? And the 'plastic' filter is just a filter. It does seem that the CGI demo is more realistic, but mainly because of moving camera, as in the "actual footage" comparison you only get the behind view.
Sorry but there is a huge difference, if you can't see it you're either a PS3 fanboi, or partially blind. I don't think theres any point in trying to explain every difference, if you can't see it with your own eyes, no amount of explaining will make you.
