I was dissapointed to see Gothic III slandered like that, but I explained myself why in another forum, don't feel like doing so again.

Anyways, Dreamfall The Longest Journey definately deserves to be on that list, it's an amazing game, and I'm not even an adventure game fan. Actually that must be like the first one I ever finished. It has little gameplay elements, making it an interactive movie with amahahahahazing story and characters. Story is about 15h long, and when you start playing you won't stop.

Some other good games on that list, I just didn't have time to play much this year.

In TBS, definitely!
regarding their mention of Gothic 3
Quote:
but imagine our shock when we found that the game had been delayed because Aspyr, the game's North American publisher, actually forced developer Piranha Bytes to hold the game until the first two patches could be added to the box copy.

Yeah you just 'know' that Piranha Bytes would've put Gothic 3 out in the market if it hadn't been for Aspyr holding it back, cause PB can do that you know, they're the developer so they have the power to 'publish' games and do so in the north american market! Rolling Eyes
The idiocy of gamespy.com is limitless.

if they were on nforce 24x7, they would have not to mention all those classics released by fasiso

personally I found the article very well written and it also scores brownies for getting a its facts right. Like the article, I was also impressed by the quality of RTS'es and their expansions that came out this year. It was most definitely the year of the RTS genre.

3. Half-Life 2: Episode One

WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyway Epsilon they said in this article that they hate patches and unfinished games that are lunched into the market so thats why Gothic 3 gets the kick ... i understand them imagine no warez from net , and the only thing to get games are shops , you finally get the cash to play this game ... oh wait you cannot becoz there is a card inside "sorry we didn`t finish this game get the patches in the near future from this site :*****" , every game i played from 2004 to now /for the PC /are so undone that some times i ask my self why they don`t give a fuck about the PC , did they allready seen the future of the PC and the new system that will kill all old ,give all new , new what patches ever month or months or years for a game that you bought ... ok sorry from 2000 you didn`t buy games you buy only a license to play them how fucked is that ...
some times i miss the old times , the old life .... not the constant NOW and the "when its done" sign ...
