My social anthropology professor said that women in the arabian peninsula are beautiful because of hundreds of years of wearing the burkha which only shows your face so a pretty face gets attention and not the rest of the body. In other cultures males pay attention to the form of the body first and foremost and the face is not as important (esp when the female is young and fit as they naturally would be, unlike today).

And there was a news story of how Iranian women are now getting nosejobs because they want to take a shortcut to that beauty, and they too are only showing face. Very Happy
