|
 |
http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=564978
Quote: | Commodore4eva has given me some updated information on the upcoming xtreme 5.x series for the TS-H943. ETA on release is a few days.
Upcoming features!
Single Layer SS support for both XBOX1 and XBOX360 games!
XBOX360 File based iso support (no more raw dumps)
So, for some clarification this will NOT allow you to use your previously backed up XBOX1 games on the xbox360. This will however allow you to reburn your games to another single layer dvd-r with patched SS,DMI,PFI so it will be functional. XBOX360 file based iso will still require SS,DMI,PFI + Video.iso for media stealth (and just SS/video for basic functionality). This also means that many xbox360 games will now work on single layer disc's! FEAR is only 3.9GB file based (as opposed to 7+GB RAW dump), and GOW is 6.2 *including* the video stuff!
Also, a inside source told me that there is a dash update coming either tomorrow (Nov 21st) or the following day. Please take this with a grain of salt as it is not offical at this point. |
Wish I had a sammy drive now...

yeah, it will read dvd-9 & 5 ... and Hitachi owners shouldn't be too jealous because few games will fit on dvd-5
hopefully the rumored update adds h.264 streaming

ERmm.. how can you even tell? All of the games are over the size of DVD-5 on purpose to push the data onto the second layer as until now it was the only way to play the games..

the security sector is on the second layer , not necessarily the game data unless size dictates

hey thats only for the samsung...hitachi is in progress...
It seems xbox1 backups work now unpatched. I have a bunch of backups lying around from my xbox1 days. Time to see if any of them works

NOT TRUE, you cannot run a samsung hack onto a hitachi, the flash procedure is totaly different - one is windows based the other dos, basically the above is to stop the error codes if you replace a samsung with a hitachi or vice-versa after the latest updates, or if for some strange reason you want to have your dvddrive report back that its a samsung when its a hitachi

This is a really nice update, but I got tired of constantly having to update firmware some time ago and got a chip installed instead - it's great not having to disassemble your box all the time

I couldnt get any of the xbox1 scene releases to work...is there something special to be done or just pop the dvd-r into the tray...my 360 backups all work fine, so it was definitely not a bad flash.

the xbe's on the xbox one backups are probably not signed, thus the game wont work on a 360.

the reason alot of the scene rls's wont work is cuz when theyre ripped with apps such as dvd2xbox it patches the xbe and breaks the signature. For the xbox1 backups to work the xbe has to be untouched. And the ISO has to be made in the GDFimage way so scene rls's made with QWIX wont work cuz the header is different
