Something stirs in the darkness. A hot earthy smell wafts up from the dank depths. Nails scratch against limestone, dripping water echoes off cavern walls, ancient chains rattle in stagnant air…. What lies in the eerie depths below?

Dungeon Runners is an online role-playing game that’s free to download and free to play!

As a brave hero, you’ll explore dangerous dungeons, battle ferocious monsters and discover incredible weapons, artifacts and loot.

Choose to play as Fighter, Mage or Ranger in a realm of terror, magic and adventure. Unlock powerful new skills as you gain experience on your journey into the unknown.

Whether fighting evil hordes as a lone warrior or teaming up with online friends to carve a path of destruction through your foe, Dungeon Runners will quench your deepest dungeon-crawling thirst.
Game Features

* Free to download and play*.
* Three character classes: Fighter, Mage, or Ranger. Each can learn powerful magic and deadly weapon skills.
* Progress in power as you gain levels and acquire new treasures.
* Some dungeons can be completed quickly, rewarding those who can only invest 15 minutes a play session. Greater dungeons, however, will provide a deep, rich, questing experience for those who want to go on longer runs or multi-part quests.
* Easy to control with either ‘WASD’ or point and click combat and movement.
* Adventure alone or join with online friends to form your own band of heroes.
* Undertake quests to rid the world of unspeakable horrors and legions of enemies.
* Gather in the public area of Townston, and then quickly hop into a new adventure in your very own instanced dungeon.
* Become a legend. Bask in the limelight as your powers, equipment, and influence grow with each successful quest and every fallen foe.
* Randomly generated dungeons may contain any number of special rooms, different monster encounters and more! Each dungeon is always fresh, providing limitless re-playability.
* Game content will continually grow: new maps, monsters, powers, and much, much more!
* Literally thousands of magic weapons, items, and armor to discover!
* Dungeon Runners will always be free to download and play, however, choose to become a member* and you’ll have access to the most powerful in-game items and a growing list of members-only privileges.

Anyone have a referral they can send my way Very Happy? I was in the beta program but seem to have my account taken away lol.. Wanting to try out the finished thing to see if its improved since the early alpha builds!

Damn you just missed that other thread about DR invites Sad
Sounds like a good game though, kinda back to basics, but these kinda games get to your head after a while, limitless grinding you know.
Would be cool if someone could be bothered to write some impressions though so those of us 'on the fence' would know if this is worth pursuing Confused

Well like I said above, I played an early beta and my thoughts are as follows:

* Not a typical modern MMO, so don't expect epic quests.. Its more a fancy diablo clone but with some added humour..
* The interface might as well by WOW, this was the major put off for me.. very major.. Sad!

Thats about all I can say as the later put me off so bad I gave up, I hope its changed.. so so much.. Neutral

If it's like FATE it could probably be fun to play once in a while, personally I can't do those 10 hour "clickfests" that was Diablo 2, but if you can mess around with other people in a world like it, it could be fun, depending on the people of course.

I'm always turned away from P2P MMORPG games, since they can be too addicting. But 5 bux per month I can handle. Although this game kinda looks like your typical grinder, I think it still could be fun for some time, especially if you hook up with some cool peeps.
I don't want this thread to become request line, BUT I am still waiting for that invite Very Happy.

lthough this game kinda looks like your typical grinder

the game is the typical grinder ..

i´m at lvl 15 now and all i can do for getting any further (next dungeon lvl 18+ -> all mobs resistend to my attacks) is farming mobs

the biggest problem of the game is the lag .. everythings laggy .. even your own movement + the overall fuxxord controll

its not that great as i thought Sad
btw max lvl = 99 Laughing

What about parties, buffs, boss mobs etc?
Max lvl 99? That doesn't sound that good either.

This game sucks the big one. Same old shallow grind-fest - how people can play this crap for more than 5 minutes is beyond me.
