I want to look at replacing my Xbox 360 drive - it's being shit now and struggles when reading discs, whether they are Verbs or not.

It's a lite on, I think. It's banned too so I don't really care about that. Would I need to buy another liteon or could I use any drive, such as this:

http://www.jackofallgames.co.uk/xbox-360-benq-vad6038-dvd-drive-official-uk-stock-p-1468.html?zenid=d7d0ea3e91fb579dddaba80f1e3f09fe

Also, do I need to spoof this drive as a liteon or would it work if i just flashed ixtreme 1.5 (I need this one)? The guy who flashed my xbox sent me a file with:

dummy.bin
identify.bin
inquiry.bin
ix15.bin
key.bin

Would they be useful?

Can someone link me a tutorial on how to do this please? It is simple to do, as in just follow a tutorial. And no soldering?

Thank you!!

I think it would be more appropriate if you take your topic to the Console - Technical forum.

If it's liteon 7xxxx and 8xxx v1 than you don't need to solder anything.

Look at the sticker and see what version you got. Than go on ebay and buy a spare that is exactly the same as yours.

Than you just need to get your key (load dummy.bin in jungleflasher to get it) and flash LT 1.1 on your new drive. I would wait for LT+ if you like myself hate opening the damn 360.
