I did the same for Doom 3, so Im curious how HL2 measures up.

I voted yes. I already gut the ATI coupon so I'ts already fix. Very sad if you warez this game because Valve really deserve all the support they can need. This game will be one of the kings.

ill buy it.....but not cause valve deserves it tho......ill buy it cause it will have great mods again.......never liked half life before and i prolly never will but the mod community is the best there is and thats why ill buy it.

don't forget the audience here isn't really representative of the online community - I often wonder how I ended up in this dunp ( ) - and that some of the users will be youngsters with no cash to purchase the game in the first place.
I'll be buying HL2 myself as I remember the original and all the fun experiences I had that time around - I'm hoping they manage to at least emulate that again, if not go even further

After the chaos following the "Gold on Monday" post, Australia's "PC Powerplay" has, reportedly, got a page advertising next month's issue. The message is, as I'm sure you'll agree, quite simple. There are multiple scans of this page floating around, and the people I have spoken to do verify that the magazine's style is the same as the scanned images. The glaring grammar error is, apparently, typical of the magazine's current standards (Although it could also be that not everyone is a grammar nazi, and it looks neater this way.)

ima buy it. said it all along i would and im not paying for the mods im paying for the fact that hl2 will have the best single player experience and CSS will be great and HLS. 3rd party mods are just another bonus which i like. and for around 25£ u cant go wrong.
edit: seems quite a few places have the date set at 22nd/24th now. im willing to wait til november but im pretty sure itll be out late september (29th) or within the 1st weeks of october.
