Dude why is using moonshell so much of a prob? It is the only one that I know of that plays mp3s(without clicks or noise) and movies. You do know you can change the skin? And the font? So its got customization features too. Anyways I don't think you will find a better one out there. Most homebrewers are either waiting on or helping to make better code libraries to make faster apps and games that take more advantage of the DS's hardware. There was an ipod-like mp3 player but I think its been discontinued. Anyways check out http://www.ds-scene.net for all the latest and greatest. But yeah, I think yer stuck with moonshell(which isn't all too bad), waiting for a better one to come out, or just...buying a mp3 player.
