Did anyone ever play the Hard Truck series, and then this one, to compare the two? HT2 is the reason why I've gotten these 18 Wheels of Steel games, but I haven't had the time/motivation to install one and see if my memory is right about how much fun these things are.

Lol.

My personal review is the same as before. IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1.5/10 althou any normal human should realise that from the big activision value stickers all over it.

Borin as fuk...

Pick up cargo > Drive > Drop Off Cargo > Get Petrol > Sleep >

Repeat that several hundy thousand times.

Honestly i dont know how anyone can like this.. MAYBE if your some hardcore truck driver called cleatus or something.

Anyways here are the gamespot user review scores.

1.8
1.0
1.2

oh i forgot to mention this game is OK for the for the first 15 minutes or so.. but then the repeditiveness kicks in

Also the GFX to > Performance ratio is horrible.

I guess if you love trucks for some reason then the game could be as HIGH as 6...

But my review is based on someone who has no interest in trucks Razz

And like i said in my demo review.

Games like this *COULD* be ok.. if we had say photorealistic scenery.. but that wont happen for like 10years

...many people seem brilliant until they open their mouth...

You really made your own statement become true

It's like the guy here before said, not all of us are keen to see superb graphics.
If the game is fun then it's a good game, if it's made with limited budget then it's a superb game !

We all have an own opinion you know Wink

I like driving games, cause I like driving in real life too.
It's funny to drive with the psychics of a truck, different then in real life though but still amusing Smile

Cartoon: that link you gave was about Big Rig, totally different trucking game which had many bugs in it and wasn't completed, that sucks indeed

There are some people that like truckin..
We're a big fan-group, we hang out on truckpol forum.
we simply just LOVE the game!
8/10!

and we're not always after the gameplay, but we like to edit..
we can edit almost everything in the game!
make new maps, skin trucks, add/remove parts..
just try to extract the base.scs file with winrar into my documents/18 wos pedal to the metal and see everything you can edit!

it's a very nice game if you get into it!

only thing that sucks at this version tho, is the steering.. to sensitive!
