i woulden't rush to vista..let it run for a while and maybe later.
and yes...preety dry without new good games - i saw the topics with the upcoming stuff - but i am into shooters - and only the shield - Action Adventure Third Person ,maybe will get me into it ,also Biker Mice from Mars maybe intresting for me altough-the graphic is not looking very good. the last one for january that may itrest me is:"Alien Shooter 2" also on some release dates sites Jade Empire (Special Edition) still on january 2007 so in case it will show's on january-it will be cool but others show february - so..not too long to wait anyway:) and for feb also :"Test Drive Unlimited " and :"Frontline: Fields of Thunder " and all this untill stalker...kinda weak opening for 2007- but i know alot of good games should be out later this year-here cool link for upcoming stuff:

i will say ATI ... after AMD took ATI under their wing the new ati cards are faster then Geforce , the next winner will be Ati with they dx10 cards and drivers , yeah i know now Nvidia has the lead , the same thing was with Voodoo and Riva

Hmm..well except there is no vista driver for the 8800 yet. And nvidia is dragging their feet on coming up with a date, saying its still in QA until an unknown time. Which might be because MS hasn't even completely finished dx10 for the now shipping vista. All rumor and conjecture at this point, but I havent seen any site with any hands-on testing with games running dx10 drivers, even pre-beta ones. Besides that there isnt going to be a game to use any part of dx10 until late spring, if not summer. So the whole dx10 thing is no reason to upgrade, yet, even if you do have the hw for it.
But aside from that I hear Vista handles multiple cores much nicer than XP. So that might be a deciding feature for me to install it sometime soon anyways.
