I tought it might be an interesting discussions: Who would win?
I'd say EU since it would most likely become world war very soon, involving russia and china, both wanting to overthrow USA, not to mention there will be back-up from middle-eastern countries and increased terrorist attacks all over USA. They can't handle Katrina, not to mention public panic this would create. But then again, with their technologies, aircraft carriers and nukes, you never know, although germany really isn't all that far from technology viewpoint.

I don't think this is a very useful discussion better we think how we can help the US to become much less dominant regarding global politics. The biggest threat to world peace is the US at this moment. Meanwhile i guess that European countries should start building up their armed forces and especially make sure that these forces have hightech equipment. History has always shown that if European countries cast away the things that divide them and work together we can beat the US fair and square.

The best military weapons come from EU though. US has better intelligence/recon. That's why they are the strongest, war is all about intelligence. |

I disagree. The US is the pioneer in military research and development. Here in EU we just get the leftovers mostly  |

US designs bigger, more destructive, and more precise weapons than the Europeans. So there you go.
I don't see the debate, the US can just send over a bunch of missiles to destroys us, while they themselves have sophisticated technology to shoot down just about everything that flies in the sky. (I'm not saying we Europeans don't, but in a war their technology would be the end of us)

This is going to turn into a flame war, some people here are so arrogant and biased that they can't have a fun debate, they want their opinions to dominate thus ruining the thread and getting it closed.
But don't forget the US are trigger happy, they'll start war just about anywhere right away with out getting requried intel on the hostile areas, look at how many soldiers we lost in iraq, bush sent troops over almost right after we got hit on 9-11.

You're classing everything as one Parallax. The UK designed the best sniper rifle. L96A1. You can't get much more precise than that.

If you didn't notice I am talking pre-emptive strikes. But I agree with you on the sniper rifle of course.

There wont be war US vs EU, because they are far too simmilar. There could be a war if EU would be overfloved by muslims in 100 years, but that war would be lost for EU, because those countries would be poor coz of muslim mentality.

The basic assumption of your post is wrong as the country that is most endangered by China is Russia.

...they buy much of their weapon technology from europe so I don't agree.

It's my opinion that they would go against USA together with EU, they can kill eachother later. None of these two countries would support USA, so that leaves them on EU side. Starting their own war would be silly since russia can still nuke china to high heavens, since China has only like 20-30 long range missiles, and under 1000 nuclear warheads in total.

Np, Larry Bond was btw involved in Tom Clancy's Red Storm. Be sure to check L.Bonds Red Phoenix too - its about the korea war restarting (not that it ever ended).

If a war would break out it would be the last one for a long time... In war there are no winners, never forget that.
The Problem is if one of the countries should get cornered they would use anything to their disposal and yes it won't matter to them if it's ABC weapons as long as it helps. If a large scale war would break out there wouldn't be much of humanity left over. Of course at least 60% of the survivors would hate the people from other countries because of what they "did" to them. Oh and btw. I think Germany would be one of the last countries to attack another, I think they have learned their lessons...

The military part line has always been that owning as many nuclear weapons as the West has does not mean total nuclear holocaust.
A limited nuclear exchange with another super power is a total myth.
The military can justify ANYTHING (as long as they get to kill people and own a lot of cool weapons they are happy).
