Ethernet-cable

From my router to my computer, then use my computer as a "router" itself (I've got two ports). When I connect like this, I don't get an IP to the X360 but on my computer, it says that it gets an IP in that connection. Sorry for my terrible descriptions here, if you don't understand what I mean, tell me so I can try to clarify.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here's how my xbox360 is currently connected:

Xbox360
|
| [ethernet cable]
|
computer NIC2
computer NIC1
|
| [ethernet cable]
|
ADSL modem

Then I have the NIC1 in Shared Internet Connection mode so that I allow other computers to connect through this computer.

Works great on live, with updates and gaming over live works great too.

Think you need to make sure the cable between your PC and 360 is a Cat 5 crossover cable. Usually a couple of quid from most computer stores. Then it should just come down to finding software that routes between the two nics. XP may be able to do it natively but I'm not sure.

Edit: Just noticed the guy above said it does so do a search for internet connection sharing in windows help.
