The tunnel runs under the Yauza River, and water leaks in at some points. When the temperature reaches -38 degrees Centigrade as during the winter of 2005, the road surface can freeze.

The tunnel runs under a river and is not 100% watertight, so in the russian winter the leaking water freezes from the cold air rushing through the tunnel which is why so many people lose control of their cars through there!

It would be just like the Cath Robe bridge on Deerfoot here in calgary. It goes over the bow river, so in -20 to -30, it can be glare ice. Hundred of accidents every year.
Well, it's not really due to that water leaking or anything. I've been there a dozen times this winter and it's totally dry. The problem is there's this sharp turn just where the camera's positioned.
Nice music, btw. 01-juliet-avalon__low_end_specialists_hollywood_mix if anyone's wondering.

Haha check out the two boxtrucks and the Lada at the end, a bottle of vodka rolls out the back and bursts on the ground near the exhaust.
But its good to see they can now afford western cars and lightbulbs unlike in "sovjet" times. Too bad the dictator in Belarus is blocking their oil euros from flowing.

Lets remember that it's Moscow we're talking about...
Go a few thousand miles east and it will turn again to the good old USSR.
They make it seem like it's a straight shot. I remember seeing this same exact video except the image was NOT CROPPED.
Right before that straight-a-way there is a nasty turn, and about 99% of those crashes in that video happen just after that turn because they tried to take it too fast.
Whoever edited this video wanted you to think people just suck at driving (well they still suck if they don't know how to go around that turn but still).
