Strife is awesome and it works with GZDoom.

Strife did Deus Ex before Deus Ex.
Large hub world, branching storyline, voice acted dialogue trees, cool faction war zones where you play cooperatively with some AI...
It was pretty awesome back in the day.

Aaah..I have only good things to say about this one..except for it's performance lol
Witchaven 2 didn't run well either. I think it used the same engine.

I feel the same way about TekWar (cough... sorry; William Shatner's TekWar ) I absolutely ADORED that game but it ran like ass I never managed to get it running on any machine I had at the time, not satisfactorily anyhow, and year down the line when I had better machines with DOSbox to run it perfectly, it just hadn't aged well |
Tekwar <3
I was lucky with one of my 2 best buddies having a pc shop at home. Usually for new releases we pieced together the best that was currently laying around and play it over there. His dad didn't mind since every kid (hell even adults) went like: I want a pc like that xD
It ran decent... but in all honesty compared to other games on the engine that's not saying much. Still we were a bit more forgiving since it was a great game.

Actually I was thinking of Redneck Rampage one of the games that ran stellar on the same'ish PC we used for Tekwar.

Chasm: The Rift, how did i miss this game?!.. looks awesome. I think i'm getting too old, i just find AAA titles rehashed boring games, and just "wow" at some of the "Best Game Ever Played" in the giveaway thread.
