Alright kids... I need some music suggestions.

I am looking for some quality ska with maybe an edge of some hardcore punk. new or old doesn't matter. I am pretty open when it comes to music so let the suggestions fly.

Thanks.

Other stuff I listen to (ska) is pretty mainstream, I wouldn't mind seeing some good stuff here too!

Mad Caddies
Less Than Jake
Reel Big Fish
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra
Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Voodoo Glow Skulls
The Vandals
The Living End (punk..)
Sublime (obviously)
Antiflag

Cool cool. I know most of those. Voodoo Glow Skulls are cool.

Thanks syn. Keep em coming. I'm looking for some not so mainstream/poppy stuff.

The Suicide Machines are fucking kickass Smile

Quote:
The Suicide Machines (formerly known as "Jack Kevorkian & The Suicide Machines") were a Detroit-based ska-core group founded in 1991 by Jason Navarro and Dan Lukacinsky blending modern ska-punk music with a hardcore influence.

sounds like what you asked for Razz They just broke up, but have a pretty extensive catalog ... their latest 'War Profiteering Is Killing Us All' is awesome ... all 2 minute fast songs.

http://myspace.com/thesuicidemachines

video for 'War Profiteering Is Killing Us All', more punk than ska .. the album is like 1/2 and 1/2 ...

I also recommend 'A Match and Some Gasoline' (2003), plus they have a compilation from albums before that called 'The Least Worst of the Suicide Machines: 1995-2001'

Kind of a moot point now, but they put on an awesome live show Smile

I just grabbed 'On the Eve of Destruction 1991-1995' by them. Liking it so far...

I'm still looking for some of their other albums. My brother has some I think. It's too late to give him a call though so the search continues.

Thanks Nouse. Anything else you can recommend?

RX Bandits ... haven't really listened to them much, but I downloaded their latest a little while ago '...And The Battle Begun' and it's pretty good.

Mustard Plug ... they have a best of that's got pretty much everything on it ' Masterpieces: 1991-2002'

oh yeah, and check your PM Wink

Almost forgot one Wink Left Alone, recently signed to Hellcat. They sound a lot like Rancid, but hey, it's Tim Armstrong's label Razz
