Similar as "The last watched movie." thread. Perhaps there is enough interest.

Black Lagoon & Black Lagoon: The Second Barrage 7,5/10

If you liked Cowboy Bebop this one is recommendable. Targets older audience. Good sound and animation. Instead of a main storyline both series had several stories grouped in episodes.

i just fineshed watching the first episode of afro samurai and i must say that a 1 mil bucks per episode and an ex-pulp fiction star as executive director can really do wonders for a show.

Just saw an ep of Night head genesis, crappy show.

The very best of anime is Neon genesis evangelion though, followed by the GITS 1st GIG.

Well Black Lagoon certainly missed the style and atmosphere of Cowboy Bebob. Then again Cowboy Bebob was so tremendously good that most likewise animes pale in comparison. After seeing the last episode of CB i really felt empty Sad Fortunately there was still the movie.
Did you mean "Grave of the Fireflies"? Awesome anime but very depressing.
Some others you might like: Noir, Gungrave (not so good), Samurai Champloo (very humoristic)

Elfen Lied. I have irl friends who are anime addicts and leach 50 gigs of anime a day, and watch it at the same time. They're trying to "convert" me, and made me watch this video for $20 (Im notorious for hating anime).

The only result of me watching that anime was a sudden crash in the FTP server they were leeching from that I took no part in.

No firefly as a tv series firefly.

I like the cowboyesque shit set in the future stuff. lotta gun slingin' & spaceships along with some kick ass tunes. Y'know.
Best of both worlds Wink

Gonna watch first ep of outlaw star.

Seen couple eps of gungrave. Wasn't my thing. Sad
Will check noir and samurai.

Elfen lied is very much a niche anime, many people can't stand all that gore, dismemberment, nudity general akwardness, etc...
In the first three minutes alone about 20 people get whacked, not exactly something you should show to a non-anime addict imo.
Depends on your taste though obviously. Wink

I hate all anime. Thats my taste.
I have no problems with blood and gore, its just the daydream world the creators of anime and the people who watch it live in that annoys me.

Except Princess Mononoke, the sore exception.

You might be right, i am a daydreamer. Then again reality is so ugly that it is kinda nice to dream away so once in a while.
