Couldn´t find a thread about it, so..

If you have ever played Guitar Hero, then heres a home-made PC clone of it Smile
And for those who hasn´t played GH, just download it anyway! Razz

Download
http://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/uv/fretsonfire/

A few songs
http://keyboardsonfire.net/?songs

Forum
http://keyboardsonfire.net/forum/

And you can find all the songs from Guitar Hero 1 and 2 easily.

For those who already play - does anyone know of more songs to download?

Thanks Sin, really liked this clone. Of course its not as good as with a 'real' guitar on the ps2, but i don't have a ps2, so its pretty cool.

hmm...too bad it doesn't seem to work with the guitar controller. I have the ps2 usb converter, so assuming they still use the whole strum idea (hold the note button down then hit the strum button to play it) it shouldn't be hard to map the guitar button to keyboard presses, should it?

i can has computar?!

There is a guide on how to get the guitar to work for the game in the forums.

Fuck, I play both Sad So am I a Real geeky cockfag man, or is it more like a Geeky real cockfag man?

---

Well, I've tried it...meh. I guess I'm spoiled by the production quality of GH1+2. Playing user made songs is nice, but alot of the fret work in them is piss poor. Alot of em are just playing along with an mp3 so if you miss a note instead of still hearing the rest of the band play, it's just silence. Also, game runs pretty choppy on an x1600 pro, mind you I have a slow cpu but still :/ Playing this just makes me want to go play some GH2...I think I'll go do that Wink

It can´t have anything to do with your gfx-card... What processor do you have?
I played this smoothly on my sisters PC, with a AthlonXP 2700+, 512 mb ram and some crappy GeForce FX card. I even run my own pc with a mobo built-in Geforce card (and a Athlon64 3700+, 1 gb RAM). Works perfectly.
