I love Longest Journey games and yeah you should play Dreamfall straight away, tbh.

just don't ruin that fantastic game by playing a shitty DREAMFALL. U will loose all that good feeling you had in longest journey 1.

Don't listen to the crazy person, Dreamfall was a fantastic game. Whatever it lacked in gameplay, the story more than made up for (especially if they ever make a third one to tie up all the loose ends).

If I want a good story I'll watch a movie. Gameplay sucked dick in Dreamfall, but don't take my word for it, try it yourself.

You should try books.. those have good stories too!
Broken Sword 1 = best adventure game ever!

dreamfall is one of the rare games that made me think of them along time after finished them.
thats right, the controls are not that good, but the atmosphere is great and the music is verygood in my op,also , i guess that the story is the strongest point and i recommand you to play this game.
p.s - longest j 3, is about to come sometime (not too soon).

True, Indigo Prophecy (also known as Fahrenheit in Europe) is an instant classic. Very revolutionary gameplay for an adventure and great scenario. A very special game.

Come on... Puzzles in Dreamfall were a joke compared to Longest Journey plus u end up with too many unanswered questions after the game is finished.(sry if its a spoiler. But I think its not.)
Newly added fighting sequences in Dreamfall are horribly done. It's an adventure for consoles.
Grim fandango pawns Dreamfall ass by a mile. U can't really compare it.
Its like comparing gold to sand.
